Why does Splunk MINT crash in iOS 10.3.1?

iOS app (Objective C) crashes on start-up when integrated with Splunk MINT SDK. Interestingly Splunk MINT dashboard captures this crash. I comment out [[Mint sharedInstance] initAndStartSessionWithAPIKey:@"API_KEY"] and the App behaves just fine.
Is this a known issue with 10.2+?
iOS - 10.3.1 (iPhone 6s), 10.2 (Simulator)
MINT version - 5.2.x, 5.1.x, 5.0.x

Also, we suggest you try deleting the app from device and simulator before deploying a new version. There is a possibility that the data cached by the old SDK version is not compatible with newer and causing the problem. We'll take a further look when you email crash details.
