Whenever I have to make an addon work, even if it’s from the same vendor i.e. Microsoft in my case right now, will I need Client ID and Client Secret every time?

Treat every add-on as a separate entity.  They may or may not use the same credentials.  Some may not need credentials at all, depending on what the add-on does.  The documentation for each add-on should explain what it required.
