Website Monitoring App - Does it use Powershell?

I would like to install the Website Monitoring App to our Enterprise Splunk instance but we have strict security measures that disallow powershell from executing.
Are there any underlying powershell calls in the Website Monitoring app that would make this app useless in our environment?

It does not use Powershell. The back-end scripts are written in Python and use the Python interpreter that is shipped with Splunk.
