Splunk unix app setup: no 'off' buttons, no interval control

The Settings page for the new *nix app is rudimentary to say the least. No way to turn off unwanted inputs or control the sampling interval.

Of course I can edit inputs.conf but doesn't that defeat the purpose somewhat?

Hi,

those things are not controlled through that screen -- use the Splunk Add-on for *nix instead.
