Hello,

I would like to monitor IoT devices such as gateways. Can I install Splunk on an Intel Galileo board or a beaglebone black?

Thank you

Hi,

don't know what you want to archive. here is a setup guide: https://www.batchworks.de/setup-and-configure-splunk-forwarder-on-debian-linux/

Hi,

Is there documentation for using the splunkforwarder?

I'd be grateful if you could outline the steps that I need to follow?

Hi,

Beaglebone is arm arch. you can download a splunkforwarder for arm from:
https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1611/

IIRC the Galileo board is full 32bit X86. For that you can use the official splunkforwarder.

In both cases it will be better to setup a cental syslos and monitor the syslogserver using splunk.

Regards,

Andreas
