In IPOffice Manager, what Splunk IP Address is supported as the SMDR Communication server?
For example:
Can we choose a syslog Server running the Universal Forwarder?
Or should we choose Heavy Forwarder?
If we choose the Heavy Forwarder, what happens to events if the server/services are restarted?
According to documentation:
Enabling AVAYA IP OFFICE SMDR
[...] In the SMDR settings, enter the required SPLUNK IP Address and TCP Port 6969 Send the configuration to the system

Check that you have created the correct entry in Splunk /DATA INPUT (Not Universal Forwarder)
@jlsabaut it looks like the migration to new Splunk Answers might have lost the attachment you provided with tips on setting this up.

@richardphung I would also prefer to send this to a syslog server and not direct to Splunk so thanks for asking my question for me. But it sounds like from the answer for the Avaya Call app to work it's not in syslog format.
Possibly can have the Avaya system export syslog in another way? Just not on the SMDR screen.
