Splunk Mint Custom Events Lost

Hello! We have a data discrepancy in Splunk Mint / Splunk Enterprise that we're trying to work out. It seems that when we send data to Splunk Mint SDK, we're losing events (we've compared the data to other monitoring platforms and they're significantly lower numbers). We have a theory that this may have to do with a user force quitting the app or backgrounding it and the data being hung on to and then lost. We noticed that there's a flush method but that seems to be specifically for session tracking. Is there a way to force the push of data? Should we have to? Has anyone experienced a similar thing?
