Splunk MINT: Why am I getting error "Execution failed for task ':app:transformClassesWithMintForDebug'" with latest 5.2.0 Android SDK?

I am getting the following error when using the latest Android SDK 5.2.0. Any insight with this?

Error:Execution failed for task ':app:transformClassesWithMintForDebug'.
No signature of method: static com.android.utils.FileUtils.emptyFolder() is applicable for argument types: (java.io.File) values: [/[app_folder]/app/build/intermediates/transforms/Mint/debug/folders/1/1f/Mint]

Are you using Android Studio 2.2? Please note 5.2.x supports Android Studio version 2.1.x. Note that Android Studio 2.2 or later is not supported.

Android Studio 2.2 support will be released in the SDK version.
