Splunk Light version 7.1.2 cannot find "Splunk App for AWS"

I installed Splunk Light latest version 7.1.2, but at "Apps and Add on" page cannot find "Splunk App for AWS" to install,
only see "Splunk Add-on for AWS"
At previous versions, e.g. 7.0.X, I can see both "Splunk App for AWS" and "Splunk Add-on for AWS"

Install the App and Add-on
Skip this step if you are configuring the Splunk Insights for AWS Cloud Monitoring AMI. The AMI includes the App and Add-on.
You must install the Add-on for the App to function. If you have a Splunk Light on-premises or cloud instance, perform the following steps:
Install the Splunk Add-on for AWS. <== I can see
In Splunk Light, go to the sidebar menu and select Data > Apps and Add-ons.
Find the Splunk Add-on for AWS and click Install.
Enter your splunk.com username and password.
Select that you have read the terms and conditions of the license agreement.
Click Login and install.
Restart Splunk Light. The add-on shows as enabled.

Install the Splunk App for AWS. <== I cannot see
In Splunk Light, go to the sidebar menu and select Data > Apps and Add-ons.
Find the Splunk App for AWS and click Install.
Enter your splunk.com username and password.
Select that you have read the terms and conditions of the license agreement.
Click Login and install.
Restart Splunk Light. The app shows as enabled.

The AWS app is not yet compatible with Splunk Light 7.1.x. This compatibility issue will be fixed in an upcoming maintenance release, at which point the app will appear correctly in the app and add-on page inside Splunk Light.

Thanks, but I have a project recently that need use AWS app, what can I do?
e.g. use Splunk old version 7.0.X for installation and setup AWS app
or wait for the new version, but when will the upcoming maintenance release?

I do not know the schedule for the maintenance release, sorry. I will update this page when it becomes available.

Yes, you can install the 7.0.x version from the older releases download page and use that with the AWS app, then upgrade when 7.1.x has the app support.

The app isn't available even on 7.0.x, the release for 7.1.x is coming soon.

Thank you for pointing this out. I reproduced the issue and I have filed a bug with the development team. They are currently investigating.
