Splunk Licensing usage question

Hi There,

I am currently indexing log data for a customer of our routers that we manage and would like to expose a dashboard to the customer to view status information that is been graphed for them.

Is there any issue with me exposing a dashboard to the customer?

Hi cchubbard,

regarding the license, there is no impact at all if you expose a dashboard to a customer. Only raw data that will be indexed counts against the daily license volume.

Usage of the Splunk Web interface does not count towards the license, maybe you should read through the docs how Splunk licensing works
