Can we turn off the compression on splunk hadoop connect? The export is currently in gzip format. Is there a ui option to change this on app?
This is not something we can do in the app today. I have verified that there is an open enhancement for your request and our solutions team is looking at adding it in a future update of the app.
http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/HadoopConnect/1.2/DeployHadoopConnect/Setupcompressedfiletypes shows that HadoopConnect supports various compressed file types. sdaniels, are you saying that there is no way to change the file format for the app?
