Error message: Cannot communicate with task server check your settings
Splunk version 6.6.0
Splunk Db connect version : 3.1.1
Java version : jdk1.8.0_66

I already changed the port number in dbx_task_server.yml file, The port is LISTEN:
splunk@splunk-dev01:/export/splunk/etc/apps/splunk_app_db_connect/default$ netstat -an | grep 1025
tcp 0 0 :::1025 :::* LISTEN

But still have the same error message and I'm unable to access dbconnect ui.

Thanks

We managed to resolve this issue on our instance and from memory it turned out to be a conflict with Java and the folder structure, in our case we had a scripted input that was causing the issue as it was using a conflicting naming convention, once this script was amended the issue was resolved

Apologies for the vagueness in the description but it might help you look in the right direction for another potential solution
