Splunk DB Connect 2: Why am I getting "Disconnected from Splunk server.Your network connection may have been lost or Splunk server may be down"?

While trying to open Splunk DB Connect 2, it's showing

"Disconnected from Splunk server.Your network connection may have been lost or Splunk server may be down"

What is the solution for this problem?

I'm using and i detected that my Splunk is 6.0 that not supported by DB Connector 2. I'll try to upgrade Splunk.
