Splunk App for Jenkins 1.7.1 : Why Jenkins logs data and console output is not displayed in Splunk?

I have configured Splunk App for Jenkins version 1.7.1 and I am able to get the Jenkins data in Splunk. However, I am not able to get the Logs and Artfacts and Console output data as displayed in the screenshots? Is there any specific configuration needs to be done to get this?

What type of Jenkins jobs are you using?

If your job is pipeline, you'll need this:

HI,

in the configuration manual for jenkins app its says : "Splunk App gets all its data from Splunk's plugin for Jenkins. "

so check out here: https://wiki.jenkins.io/display/JENKINS/Splunk+Plugin+for+Jenkins if you did everything correct.

A good way is to trouble shot this, have a look at the dashboards, that are not populating, and click on " open in search" to see which search they are referencing. Might be that there is a macro in there, which you need to configure with server names or what ever. Could also be that your sourcetype or source does not have the correct name to be picked up from the dashboards.
