Splunk Add-on for Oracle Database: What role/permissions are required from Oracle dba to use this add-on?

When creating an Identity in Splunk DB Connect to be used with the Splunk Add-on for Oracle database, what role/permissions within Oracle are required for the Oracle user provided? I need to let my Oracle DBAs know how to configure the user I am asking for.

You simply need the ability to connect to the Oracle database and query the tables you want access to, unless you are sending data to the Oracle database...

It's effectively the same permissions that you would require if you used an application like Oracle SQL Developer to connect to the database.
