If I already have a dashboard which has widely used intentions as the method of passing variables etc, but I want to use the multi select drop down whji from SideView Utils, can I mix both Sideview Utils AND regular intentions together??

Thanks!!

Nick will correct me if I'm wrong, but to my knowledge this should be no problem. SVU and intentions have independent methods of search term tokenization which can co-habitate in the same view.

  • Multiple value by query by 3 different quey then set in to drop down field in dynamic way

Suppose main server one query called as silas

Another backup server all one query as Dr

A other is both

I have ever query and getting result but need to bind to drop down field

Thanks Guys. Always wondered if you could use SVU with intentions.

Yes, it'll be fine. The "name" param of all Sideview Utils modules can be used in place of the 'settingToCreate' of the legacy stuff. Beware of course that with the multiselect Pulldown's output, where the token coming out is like "(field=foo OR field=bar OR field=baz)", you will only be able to put it into stringreplace intentions. If you try and put this into an addterm intention or I think anything else, all manner of crazy escaping will happen, as splunk attempts to search for it as one giant string literal.
