went through the install and it is not even showing up in the list of apps? I see nothing called sa-eventgen or eventgen

Please go to the manage apps and browser for SA-Eventgen and check if on the app configuration is setup yes to visible, if not, edit properties, select yes to visible. If you are still not able to see the app, restart splunk service.
