Problem in creating a field using Interactive Field Extractor

I am using splunk version 6.0.1. I have a problem in creating a field using Interactive Field Extractor.I provided required field values. On clicking Generate, the page gets hanged and the data gets emptied. Could you please help on this.

Can you provide some of the sample data and the fields you are trying to pull out?

SNM4 CITH1EBY.115F :: 04/03/13 00:05:16 :: User logged off, Processing will begin
SNM4 CITH1EBY.#### :: 04/03/13 00:05:15 :: User cith1eby logged in
i have tried to create field for date and time. Example field values i have given
04/03/13 00:05:16
04/03/13 00:05:16
but the page gets hanged and the data gets emptied for any values given in Example field values
