Possible way to change/check where the Splunk Add-on for Java Management Extensions reads JAVA_HOME from

Is there a way to change only this add-on's JAVA_HOME location? If so, which is the best option? How can it be verified once the change is done?

I was thinking to add in the splunk-launch.conf file the JAVA_HOME=/path/, but that might impact other apps/add-ons that are using the system's default one.
