How do you package an app to generate the .spl file from the web interface of splunk? I want to transfer saved searches and other data of an app. Thanks
Running a cli command is an option:
splunk package app
You can package an app by hitting this REST endpoint: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.1.1/RESTAPI/RESTapps#apps.2Flocal.2F.7Bname.7D.2Fpacka... So for example this:
