Hi,
I want to monitor my oracle database server in splunk. Is there any applications which can monitor my databse in splunk. My concern is, if my database server is not able to produce any logs (For performance issue we disabled log), still splunk application monitor my databse (i.e. user activity, query, commands, database health etc.)?

Regards,

hi catch_mili

nothing changed since your last question http://splunk-base.splunk.com/answers/62063/ms-sql-oracle-database-monitor.
So DBX App is the one to go or write your own App 😉

cheers,
MuS

catch_mili, please ask the App owner http://splunk-base.splunk.com/users/42/ziegfried about the App details. You asked if there is an App and yes there is one.

@MuS without logs we can monitor database ?
DBX App support database monitoring without logs ?
For performance purpose we disabled logs from our databases. Still you feel, we can monitor database with the help of DBX application.
