It is not clear from the video whether the DataFlare app can only be run/viewed from within a Splunk instance's web app or if it can be embedded in third party web apps.
I understand that Splunk Apps can only be run/viewed from within a Splunk instance's web app.
Thanks for your question!
Any dashboard you create with DataFlare has its own url within the splunk webservice. You can access this url by clicking (and holding) on the dashboard's navigation tab while in DataFlare. The option to "copy url" will pop up, and selecting that option will copy the dashboards link to your clipboard.
You can use this link to embed the dashboard anywhere you would like as a iframe, this method is particularly handy when embedding dashboards or elements created in DataFlare in regular splunk dashboards, even alongside the regular splunk UI elements.
We use splunk's built in authentication and management, so you can not run DataFlare elements from another website or webpage unless the user is already logged into splunk, there may be options to use SSO or insecure login in splunk to overcome this.
I'll try to get a video up which describes the "copy url" process in more detail very soon. Thanks again!
