Logs not forwarding

This has happened multiple times with my SPLUNK installation. I will stop seeing Linux/Windows logs in my Volume used for the day. If I restart the service from the SPLUNK application GUI I get the logs to start reporting and coming into my license but I should not need to do this. I do not see any errors on my end from the SPLUNK gui so I have come here. Any ideas on whether or not this is a known bug?

Are you able to install the Splunk On Splunk app?

It's possible that you are getting queue congestion which will shut down the receiving port.

Splunk on Splunk's Queues views and Errors and Warnings should give us some more information for working out what's happening.

I have not expeirenced this issue since upgrading to SPLUNK 6.0.2 about a week ago. I have downloaded the SOS and will update with any logs that come in when (or if) anything actually happens.

I am downloading the app now and installing and configuring. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just an update. Main does not show any index on the Splunk Usage App until restart when all logs start to process again.
