Is the Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure required to use Splunk Support for Active Directory?

I have installed the Splunk Supporting Add-on for Active Directory. Is the Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure required for this add-on?

For the Splunk Support for Active Directory (https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1151/) it is not required

For Splunk App for Windows Infrastructure (https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1680/), it is required to populate some dashboards.
