Hi,

Yes it is supported as the nmon binary is available for power Linux too:

http://nmon.sourceforge.net/pmwiki.php

And specifically for power linux:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/nmon/files/nmon_14i_power_sles112/download

The nmon App brings binary for standard Linux 32/64 bits and binary for Solaris but it only used when the nmon binary is not installed in the system running the nmon App. (example for AIX, there is no binary included and it will only run if the host has nmon installed)

For power Linux, all you need is installing the nmon binary and running the App.

The nmon_helper.sh is the input script which will periodically run the nmon binary to generate the nmon data that the application will transform and index.
It will search for available nmon binary in the host and will run it if available.

As i did not had access to power linux guest, i haven't yet incorporated it but it is possible to do so.

I am very interested in power linux systems, could you please show me what does return the 'arch' command in one of your guest ?

$ arch

With this information and some verification together, i could update the App to include the powerpc binary and update the nmon_helper.sh, and other modifications if required

I am also interested in checking if powerlinux under IBM PSeries have the LPAR data available through nmon (LPAR data brings virtual cpus usage of PSeries in IBM virtual environment)

Thank you for your help !

Hello,

I am trying to install nmon on my ppc64 GNU/Linux box but I am not able to figure out which is the right version among the list of executable binaries in the latest version of nmon I downloaded, i.e "nmon16f_power_mr_nmon.tar.gz" available under http://nmon.sourceforge.net/pmwiki.php?n=Site.Download

It would be great if you could help me with identifying the right nmon binary for my linux platform and OS

#arch output in my case is "ppc64"

Further, below is more info on mysystem

root@ATCA-2470:# cat /proc/version
Linux version 3.10.19.1-1.1.28 (gcc version 4.8.1 (Wind River Linux Sourcery CodeBench 4.8-28) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Apr 14 16:49:30 EDT 2016

hello,

Can we exchange by mail (you will find my contact information on the app page), i have tried adding a comment with no success.

There is a new release (V1.7.0) which is stable and in staging stage (submitted for Splunk app certification)
There is an improved PowerLinux support and the new TA-nmon shall take care of that for you !
