Hunk setup

Hi Experts,
I am trying to setup hadoop and hunk connection. I was able to setup the connection if hadoop and hunk are on same machine.
But am not able to setup the connection when hadoop and hunk are on different machines. Do we need to install hunk on hdfs also??
It is not clear in the documentation. Please provide your inputs

Hunk has to be installed on a server which is ' Hadoop client or Hadoop edge node'. That node should have the ability to run Map Reduce against the cluster, so the Hadoop libraries has to be identical as your Hadoop server
