Hunk App for MongoDB: Why is there no connection?

Hey!
I'm trying to use Hunk and Hunk app for MongoDB. I have my MongoDB up and running and have checked thoroughly that the machine hosting Splunk can connect to that database.

I configured a virtual index on Hunk, and made sure database name and collection are OK.
Problem is when I run a search on the MongoDB virtual index I can't find anything.

I checked using a network sniffer and there are NO PACKETS SENT from Splunk to the MongoDB machine, although I set up the host and port correctly.

Just to make sure it's not about my network or firewall, I set up MongoDB on Splunk localhost, and even like that Splunk doesn't seem to connect.

Help anyone?
Thanks!

What do you see (any issues) under ' Hunk UI -> Job -> Inspect Job -> Search.log (all the way at the bottom) ?
