can't use my user to access apps from any Splunk I have.
When I use ID/PWD to access the splunkbase from local Splunk, it is unable to connect.
that happens with both of my users
Is there any way I can update apps from Splunk GUI?

you must use your Splunk.com credentials, not the credentials on the Splunk instance.

Just to confirm, you are entering your Splunk.com credentials when prompted? (The one you used to login to the community pages). This should be the username, not email.
If so, are you able to check if there are any outbound connectivity limitations from your deployment?
