How to setup/configure application logs ?

Hi there,

Can someone show me with an example on how to configure(setup) application logs on splunk.
I want to get all my application logs on to splunk.
Please show me with full path on how to browser on splunk page , and configure this.

Agree with Ayn to start with the documentation (getting started), once you've have read the tutorial, you'll see you need to setup a file monitor input to read your logs.

Actually I had a task in my project asking to setup server log file ( example : /home/tomcat/logs/instance.log) on splunk page , so that developers can check the logs on splunk itself instead of doing it on server level.
