How to know which CIM Data Model an Add-on or an App is supporting?

Hello Splunkers,

I would like to know which products (Add-ons or Apps ) are supporting 'Web' data model? Is there a way to directly check Data Model by looking into an Add-on or an App?

Thankyou in advance,

Varun Kohli

I'm not aware of any metadata saying where each datamodel is used.  You'll have to search the app/add-on's searches and views for references to the DM name or the keyword "datamodel".  REST can help with that.

| rest /servicesNS/-/<<appname>>/saved/searches splunk_server=local
| search search="*datamodel*"
| table title search
| rest /servicesNS/-/<<appname>>/data/views splunk_server=local
| search data="*datamodel*"
| table title
