Getting error ERROR HttpClientRequest - Caught exception while parsing HTTP reply: Unexpected character while looking for value: '<'

Runnning into the error Getting error ERROR HttpClientRequest - Caught exception while parsing HTTP reply: Unexpected character while looking for value: '<'

The output from /apps/default/output.conf looks like this

[indexer_discovery:master_indexer_discovery]
pass4SymmKey = XXX
master_uri = https://master.splunk.XX.com:8089

[tcpout:forwarding_targets]
indexerDiscovery = master_indexer_discovery
useACK=true

[tcpout]
defaultGroup = forwarding_targets

So i did setup the pass4symmkey but still see this error, any idea on this?
