I am trying to optimize the query speed of the db connect app
. I have read the following post, it tell me I can use | noop search_optimization=false
, but splunk return an error when I using.
Error in 'noop' command : invalid argument:'search_optimization'
this my search :
|noop search_optimization = false|dbxquery connection="connectTestDB" query="select * from clientData"
I also tried to add | noop search_optimization=false
at end of dbxquery ,errors remain
You are doing it wrong; put it at the end like this:
|dbxquery connection="connectTestDB" query="select * from clientData"
| noop search_optimization=false
@Noah_Woodcock I don't know why. it haven't thrown an error now,but it didn't speed up the search
It is not supposed to speed up the search. It is supposed to slow it down and make it simpler. What do you think that this is supposed to do? In any case, my answer solved your problem so you should click Accept
and move on and ask another new/different question, rather than diverge this one:

What version of Splunk are you running?
@richgalloway 7.2.3
