Error configuring hadoopconnect

While configuring hadoopconnect (adding a new cluster) the following error occurs.
Unexpected error "" from python handler: "Could not find Hadoop cli in path="/home/hadoop/hadoop\bin\hadoop"". See splunkd.log for more details.

The namenode, hadoop_home are as below:

namenode - hadoop-desktop.local:9000 (also checked this from the http portal)
hadoop_home - checked this path from "pwd"
Also the ipc and http ports are correct.

Help me resolve this.

What is your HADOOP_HOME env? Should use the root directory of your Hadoop installation
