Does cisco eStreamer for Splunk work on Windows platforms?

Any news/change regarding eStreamer integration on Splunk running on Windows platform?
Would be really nice to have it working on Windows installation.

Yes, unfortunately it is still not supported on Windows. This is almost entirely because of the way the eStreamer client as part of the app is written. It will take a nearly complete re-write for it to support Windows.

So it will not work at all on a windows platform? Or is it just that they wont support/troubleshoot it if I have problems?
