Configure app in Splunk

Hi Team,

I have Index data , and have Python script. I need to configure App in which , Python script which will check failure or error in Index and will create ticket in BMC remedy.

Can you guide me steps to create app and other configuration

why creating a python script?
isnt it the entire idea to index data, and then search it and act upon it within Splunk?

Data will come in Index first then python script will check in app if any failure is there then it will create ticket in remedy, note we will not configure configure BMC remedy in Splunk, will send data from splunk to remedy through API
