Can't Edit Inputs After Importing Custom Splunk App Built in Add-On Builder

I built a custom app in the AoB and exported it as both a .tgz and a .spl. When I import either of those files into a new Splunk server, the app is accessible and can be used to collect data. However, in the AoB, it appears in the "other apps and add-ons" tab instead of the "created with add-on builder" tab, and when I click the app to edit it, the "Inputs" section is gone, so I cannot create new inputs or edit existing ones.

Is there any way to fix this? I'm trying to avoid having to re-create the app from scratch just to add a new input.

.tgz file is exported from AoB, then you can import it to another AoB and continue developing it.
.spl file is an addon package, you can install it and use it as a normal app/addon, but cannot develop it in AoB. That's why you can see it in "other apps and addons".
Please make sure you use the correct package.
