Hello, my DB connect displaying this error when I´m trying to access:
Can not communicate with task server, check your settings
I´ve configured app before and all was working but then I start to receive this error in web app. DB connect app not showing any configured DBs just errors.
Can you suggest ?
BR
I faced this issue, found that server.pem under /etc/auth had expired.
1) renamed server.pem
2) ran splunk restart
3) new cert got generated with 3 year extension on expiry date.
Do not change any java settings if it was working before and suddenly stopped working, check cert expiry first.
Hi @Stives,
This happens when Java is not installed or the Java path is not correctly configured.
Did you try restarting Splunk's service? Sometimes it helps.
Or maybe there is a change on your Java installation because of an OS update, etc.
Hi @scelikok thanks for reply, my feedback below:
/ I tried to restart services no change.
/ if I run Upgrade readiness scan for jQuery scan its ok..but for Python scan 2 public apps failing one of them DB connect app.
Thanks in advance.
OK. How old is your DBConnect app version (what version is it)?
Version 3.15.0
And haven't you lately upgraded the app from an old version? If so, did you read https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/DBX/3.15.0/DeployDBX/MigratefromDBConnectv1
Hello I´ve upgraded DB connect app. from version 3.** to 3.15 not long time ago but I could configure it without any issues. I´ve start to receive this error only recently.
I´m also attaching port related message.
I was also trying to downgrade DB connect app. according the instructions but when I change from DONE to PENDING I see no difference it´s still 3.15.0.
