I am a novice to onboard REST API based data onboard in Splunk. I got some basic rest apis to onboard CISCO NAM APIs as mentioned in the document: (https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/network_analysis_module_software/6-1/developer/gu...) . I am using REST API Modular inputs, for data onboard.
The challenge i face here is after configuring Response Handler to XMLResponseHandler, unable to view any event at SH. Also, if i remove all the settings and only enable Streaming Requests?, events are split at every line; disabling that i could see events are not split and its throws a huge event chunk in HTML format. Unable to understand the scenario here.
Where should i make further configuration changes? And what is the way forward?
