App for VMWare: Virtual center dropdown box has no results with message of "Search produced no results"

We recently installed the app for vmware 3.3.0 and found this symptom below - we need this working urgently.alt text

OK it is now working. The VM Ware app was missing role configurations as outlined here : http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/VMW/3.3.0/Installation/ConfigureuserrolesfortheSplunkAppforVMwa...
The steps outlined to configure the roles for the VM Ware app have been actioned and it appears the populating search that create the lookup table for the drop down is now being generated.
