Any tutorial on using predict and anomolies?

I seen some videos from youtube and splunk docs sites but they are very high level. I am exploring predict in our project but I find a lot of limitations with predict in combination with timechart.

Can someone please share their experience or point me to the URL where I can read further? If there are any ebooks I can buy, let me know please. I wonder if splunk ML toolkit is more appropriate rather than using the SPL directly?

many thanks in advance.

one place to check out is conf.splunk.com. you can check out sessions from previous years and there is an abundance from 2017 and 2016 on machine learning that might help you out.

the MLTK itself is great, they've just released a new version with some really great new features.

there are also a few examples in the toolkit to detect outliers or predicting categories or numbers with stock data. it's very plug-and-play, not really a tutorial, though. they do have video tutorials linked on the toolkit (to youtube) but you've mentioned you've seen some of those.

I don't think there's really an in depth tutorial out there, at least not that i've found, but if you believe that the predict command has limitations to your project, i'd definitely try the MLTK, since it has more options.
