Analytics Workspace versus Splunk App for Infrastructure?

We recently installed the Splunk app and add-on for Infrastructure and have found that the app is very similar to Analytics Workspace, will one eventually replace the other?  Analytics Workspace comes with Splunk.  What are the differences between the two?  Outside of the entities and grouping entities I don't see many differences.

Thanks...Alisa

The Analytics Workspace is part of Splunk Core (in much the same way as "search")

When you install apps such as SAI, these apps leverage the same tools but bring them into the apps context, albeit sometimes with a bit of "priming or focus" such that you are immediately looking at the relevant data for that app.

You can think of it as just another instance of the same Analytics Workspace rather than something separate.

If my comment helps, please give it a thumbs up!
