If I recall correctly, the map name was set within Intermapper and got imported during the Configure App process. It may have been possible to edit the files after this process, but the Configure App process didn't parse it properly.

Please use <![CDATA to get any special characters in your XML or use amp; instead of & in xmls as they will give error and the views wont load.
I had to change the formatting somewhat because splunkbase thought I was trying to insert a link.
