After upgrading Splunk to 6.2.2, why is the menu bar not displaying in the Splunk DB Connect 2 app?

After upgrade to 6.2.2, the Splunk DB Connect 2 menu bar is no longer showing. No UI options for explorer, operations, health etc. I assume this is some priv problem, but I don't know which one.
