All Apps and Add-ons

After upgrading Splunk Enterprise to 6.4.2, why are we getting a certificate error trying to upgrade the Splunk Add-on for Unix and Linux to 5.2.3?

We've recently upgraded Splunk Enterprise to 6.4.2 and are getting an error while trying to upgrade the Splunk Add-on for Unix and Linux to version 5.2.3.

splunkd.log shows:

ERROR X509 - X509 certificate (CN=cdn.apps.splunk.com.....did not match any allowed names (apps.splunk.com)

How can we add the apps certificate to trusted to allow upgrades using Splunk Web?

Your server.conf seems to have only apps.splunk.com as the SSL common name. If you want to allow client with CN=cdn.apps.splunk.com then you will have to update applicationsManagement stanza:
