Adding capabilities to the splunk-system-user

I created a new role which I would like to add to the splunk-system-user account. How would I do this?

Roles cannot be assigned to the splunk-system-user. Per the name, this is a system-level service account that runs things like the saved search, alert, and scripted input schedulers.
