send link to result via email

Hi,

I am trying to use sendmail utility in splunk query and want to send the link to result in the email so that when the user clicks on the link they can be redirected to the splunk result page.

How can I achieve that, I am using splunk version 6.1.4 ?

Hi usha_nittala,

you can use your own email alert script and have this script sent the SPLUNK_ARG_6 to the user which is the URL for the report/saved search/alert. Read more in the docs here http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.1.4/Alert/Configuringscriptedalerts
