Alerting

Is there a way to alert if a search head node stops?

Hello,
Recently we noticed that splunkd on one of the nodes in our search head cluster had stopped. I was wondering whether there is a way to set off an alert if one of the nodes from the Search Head Cluster stops?

thanks

Hi @thomasantoniusc,
you could configure an alert on all the Search Heads, so if one of them fails another one detects this from internal logs and sends an alert.
Otherwise, you could use the Splunk Monitoring Console.

Ciao.
