I am trying to find a way to send an SMS to a certain phone number whenever an alert is triggered. What would be the best way to do this?
I fire off a custom script that invokes a web service that abstracts the api to our SMS provider.
Many cell providers allow sending of SMS through an email address such as [email protected]
I thought there was a twilio connector somewhere as well, but you could certainly tie into a script that utilizes an SMS service like that as well (DIY).
