Creating better graphs

I am new to this program and do not have much experience so any help would be appreacated. Is there any way that better graphs can be created in Splunk to better represent that data that is being presented? The graphs that I have been creating are just bland and lack the 'pretty' factor that customers are looking for. Thank you.

This docs page is a good reference to what you can do with charts that are included out of the box in Splunk: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/User/ChartGallery

I just feel like the graphs that I am getting, (When I do get a graph) are not showing the information in a meaningful manner. I am just trying to get advice on where I can look as a guide to creating graphs. They might represent the information well and I just dont understand what is occuring. As I said, I am brand new. I was thrown into this project.

Define 'pretty' and 'bland', and it would be easier to give you an answer. What are you missing? What more specific are your customers looking for?
