This app is a replacement for my old WebPing app. I changed the app name and kind of started over - thus the new app. You can have splunk periodically hit a url and index the time it takes, size of content, the actual payload, MD5 hash of content and other fun stuff. Can be used to make sure that pages are up, reachable and possibly index the content.
